“Gud Se Meetha Ishq” It’s not just the title being lifted from the Bollywood movie ‘Taal’ song-Isqh Bina, but the whole plot seems to resemble the story of the same movie. After the success of their recent new show Woh To Hai Albela, Star Bharat is back with yet another show with some of the most popular names from the Telly world. The show stars Pankuri Awasthi (Kya Kasoor Hai Amala Ka, Madam Sir, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) along with Meera Deosthale (Udaan, Vidya).

Photographer ‘Neel’ gets mesmerized by the beauty of the mountains and the song sung by ‘Kaju’. Due to circumstances, they met and had to spend the night together. The next morning, villagers try to prosecute ‘Kaju’ to either spell out the name of the person with whom she had spent the night or marry any random guy. ‘Neel’ comes to her rescue by marrying her.

The marriage plot has a striking similarity to the Star Plus show Imlie, with the role being reversed.

So far, the show hasn’t diverged from the main plot and is a decent watch. Its popularity and fan following are slowly growing over time. If it had aired on Star Plus or Zee, the show would have had a much larger fan base.
